The assistant building engineer will be responsible for the supervision of handypersons involved in the day-to-day functioning of South Yorkshire Police buildings and associated plant, including external areas.

To be considered you must have practical technical experience in building maintenance and hold or be willing to study for the relevant City and Guilds /NVQ qualification. 

You must be prepared to work weekends, public holidays or outside normal working hours if circumstances arise.

The successful candidate will expected to travel throughout South Yorkshire and work as part of a team.
