Salary: From £95,094- £103,242

As one of the top performing forces in the country, we are now looking for the highest performing applicants to join us as chief superintendents.

We have a range of opportunities, so we are looking for an established leaders who can provide clear direction and has a strong focus on performance delivery utilising problem solving solutions. We need you to demonstrate you are comfortable in providing professional challenge to your peers and Senior Command Team – an ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within SYP and partners will be vital to ensure success in this role.

You will need to match our drive and ambition to deliver the best possible service for the public. We’re already well on our way and recognised by HMICFRS as outstanding in three key areas: protecting vulnerable people, tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, and managing our business.

These achievements demonstrate our progress over the past five years and that upward trajectory continues with our ambitious plans for the future.

Applications are welcomed from substantive chief superintendents, who wish to transfer to South Yorkshire Police, or from superintendents seeking promotion to this rank. (Superintendents must have 18 months of substantive service – periods of continuous temporary service will be counted).
