Due to internal development, opportunities have arisen to join South Yorkshire Police’s Digital Forensics Unit.

The Digital Forensics Unit are involved in investigating all types of crime, supporting Force wide Districts and departments.  Under the guidance of a senior Digital Forensic Analyst, you will use forensic techniques and tools to identify and acquire evidence and intelligence held on digital devices.

You will analyse data using appropriate forensic techniques and produce streamlined forensic reports for use in court. Additionally, you will provide advice and technical support to operational officers during proactive operations, investigations and warrants. You will be expected to work within a forensic environment that adheres to ISO 17025 standards, working to technical procedures and quality management procedures.

You will work closely with the other members of the department to ensure across the department and assist officers in the creation of Digital Media Investigation strategies.
