Role: Intelligence Analyst (Partnership)

Department: Specialist Crime Services

Location:  Various throughout South Yorkshire

Salary: Band D - £24, 759 - £28, 353

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Contract: Fixed Term Contract / Secondment – Until March 2021

 

The post holder will evaluate requests for analysis, and agrees analytical strategy with Tasking Chairs, SIOs and requesting officers to ensure the analysis matches the needs of the customer. They will also prioritise their own workload based on threat, risk and capacity.  They will carry out peer-review to evaluate and quality-assure Analytical products. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for utilising inference methodology and developing recommendations for BCU, Force level and Specialist intelligence products. As well as producing strategic, community tension and tactical assessments, problem profiles and subject profiles and provide operational support to police officers.

The post holder will be expected to work centrally (Carbrook HQ) for their probationary period to ensure appropriate training and peer mentoring. Following this, their main place of work will be either Doncaster or Barnsley.

Eligibility:
