The Application Support Team are responsible for the provision, maintenance and upgrades to all applications throughout the IT estate of HP and SYP. It is therefore essential that the candidate has a broad understanding of the Force(s) applications, in particularly business critical applications for both Humberside and South Yorkshire Police 

The post holder will be expected to travel between South Yorkshire and Humberside at least one day per week; however, the role is not specifically required to be based in either force.

To be considered suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:-

  • Key understanding of Application Packaging / Testing / Deployment methodologies
  • A working understanding of IT Service Management principles in particularly Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management

The following skills and experience are desirable:-

  • MS SQL
  • HTML / CSS
  • MS SharePoint
  • Active Directory
  • SCCM
  • Snow
  • Trend Analysis / Reporting
  • GIS / Gazetteer Knowledge
