The successful applicant will effectively assist and support in the monitoring of Registered Sexual Offenders/ Violent Offenders by actively checking police systems, gathering, preparing and recording both evidence and intelligence to be used to develop further police action and further restrictions.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the ViSOR unit.
  • Inputting of sensitive information relating to Registered Sex Offenders / Violent Offenders on ViSOR ensuring that records are constantly updated and cross-referenced with any other linked records.
  • Liaise with all Police Visor units within South Yorkshire and Nationally.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries from Registered Sex Offenders / Violent Offenders and assist in providing a high and professional level of customer service and continuity.
  • Liaise with and act as a specific point of contact for various partnership and external agencies to share and extract sensitive information relating to Registered Sex Offenders / Violent Offenders.
  • Undertake PND  checks relating to Registered Sex
  • Liaise with district intelligence co-ordinators, sharing intelligence and disseminating information to ViSOR Offender managers on a daily basis. 
  • Assist ViSOR Offender managers on background checks and input relevant information onto the ViSOR system.
  • Interrogate various computer systems to retrieve data and disseminate results.
  • Perform system administration tasks within the ViSOR system such as password resets and create new users.
  • Assist the ViSOR CPC (Band D) such as creation of new ViSOR records
