Head of Joint Facilities Management

Salary of £50,772 - £55,095 on the scale Executive Level 1

This permanent post is for the Head of Joint Facilities Management for South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.

This is an exciting and critical appointment, to manage and develop the facilities management functions, to meet the ambitions of South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.

The post holder will work to develop, drive and lead on the delivery and effective integration of the facilities management functions, for both the South Yorkshire Police and the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

You will be providing a modern and professional facilities management service, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and compliance requirements, with all statutory, regulatory and in line with the policies and strategies of both organisations and those of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Fire and Rescue Service Authority.

This post forms part of the wider ambitious collaboration programme between the two services and the post holder will have the responsibility for services delivered by facilities management staff and associated contractors.

South Yorkshire Police will be the employing authority but the post holder will be accountable to the Head of Joint Estates and Facilities. The role carries a salary of between £50,772 and £55,095 on the Executive 1 grade along with generous employee benefits.

Applicants must meet the minimum checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for all individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history period of three years has been identified for this role and successfully undergoing the recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.

The successful candidate will be based at both South Yorkshire Police Headquarters at Carbrook and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Headquarters on Eyre Street, both Sheffield, with a further requirement to travel to other sites as needed.
