An exciting opportunity has become available with South Yorkshire Police as an Administration Assistant within Community Safety. The post will based at the Lifewise Centre, which is part of South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire Rescue Joint Community Safety Department. 

The successful candidate will possess good communication skills and will work as part of a collaborative team with the ability to respond positively under pressure. They will also be flexible with excellent organisational skills to meet the demands of the role. They will also be required to staff the reception on a rota basis where they will provide a positive image of South Yorkshire Police as the first point of contact for staff and visitors to the Lifewise Centre.

The role will provide administrative support to the Community Safety Project Officers and Management Team, which includes all the activities taking place in the Lifewise Centre.

The duties will include updating spreadsheets, maintaining booking systems, liaising with schools and other providers, responding to general enquiries and providing First Aid and Fire Warden cover for the Centre.

The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills and experience in an administrative environment. They must have the skills to utilise the full range of Microsoft Office Packages and be willing to learn bespoke police systems if required by the department.
