An opportunity has arisen within HR Services for the position of Training Support Clerk.

The successful candidate will work to maximize the number of students registered on courses, and ensure resources such as classrooms and equipment are used effectively. You will create courses and record attendance using the forces Training Administration System and Chronicle. You will produce course packs and timetables, other duties when required will include provision of reception cover, provision of eyesight tests for TASER officers.

The post holder will provide clerical support for a variety of internal and external training events. This will involve planning and coordinating examinations set by national boards at a range of locations, and ensuring they are conducted in line with agreed examination protocols. You will also be required to invigilate during examinations when needed.


The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to work on their own initiative. You must have had previous clerical experience and be computer literate, with a current working knowledge of Microsoft packages. You must also have had experience of using a database to extract organizational and management data, ideally ORIGIN and Chronicle.
