Exciting and rewarding opportunities have arisen, both permanent and temporary, to join the team of Business Analysts within the Business Change and Innovation department and the Technology Enabled team in South Yorkshire Police.

These roles form part of a dynamic team working closely with Business Change and operational colleagues on a wide variety of projects and initiatives as part of the Forces Change Programme.

The post holder will work as part of the Business Analyst team using a wide array of Business Analysis tools and techniques.

Business Change and Innovation

The successful candidate will be able to analyse the business processes and operational demand of Police Officers and support functions, being able to develop options for structures and resourcing requirements, including recommendations for improving efficiency and effectiveness of our service to the public.  

They will also have excellent written and verbal skills to work effectively with operational, project and senior stakeholders alike.

Experience is essential in data collection and analysis, process design and developing options and recommendations, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The role would therefore suit a person who has a demonstrable track record of business process analysis and continuous improvement when worked closely with operational teams.      

Technical Enabled team

The successful candidate will use their skills to analyse the business processes and operational demand of Police Officers and support functions in order to recommend the appropriate use of I.T., releasing time for Police Officers and staff to provide a better service to the public.  

They will have excellent inter personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with operational, project and senior stakeholders alike whilst having the ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements in ways of working.

The position would therefore suit someone who possesses I.T. knowledge and the ability to work with Police Officers and Support Functions.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
