As a Reporting Engineer, you will support the Senior Reporting Engineer working within the Information Technology Data Services Team. The Data Services Team work as part of a dynamic agile team across South Yorkshire and Humberside Police providing design, development and implementation of reporting solutions.

The successful candidate should have good knowledge and experience of deploying business intelligence and data warehouse solutions, SQL/PLSQ and TSQL and have experience of supporting critical project and programmes deliveries.

We are looking for someone that has a solid professional demeanour, positive attitude, business credibility and good interpersonal style, and who has a desire to work in a challenging and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the implementation of Information Technology aspects across SYP and HP in line with IS Strategies and business requirements.
  • Contribute in the decision-making process and make recommendations to the IS Management Team.
  • Work with senior staff and end users across a geographically diverse organisation.
  • Gather organisation requirements

Skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of working with OBIEE 11g & 12c Business Intelligence tools, RPD, analysis, dashboard and report design, development, deployment and support
  • 3 Years minimum experience in an equivalent role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end users, product owners and
    senior stakeholders
  • Experience of Microsoft BI stack and technologies (including PowerBI)
  • Good knowledge and experience of developing data solutions and services.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
