South Yorkshire Police is currently looking to recruit a Senior Executive Team Leader to work within the Force Senior Command Team.

The role of Senior Executive Team Leader will have direct line management for the Senior Command Team Executive Assistant Team which will involve staff welfare, performance management and recruitment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Senior Command Team budget in line with the forces’ financial regulations.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and the flow of documents and papers for meetings attended by members of the Senior Command Team. In addition, attending relevant meetings to ensure an effective secretariat provision and ensuring actions are shared and completed accordingly
  • Undertaking research, analysis and evaluation of data to assist the Senior Command Team portfolio leads.
  • Co-ordinating the Force Business Continuity Plan, Accommodation Strategy and the management of Health and Safety requirements for the department, working with the Business Manager.

The role will work on a hybrid approach, including working from the Force Headquarters, Carbrook, where applicable across the force and working from home. The position will require the individual to have a flexible approach and be able to travel within the Force boundaries as required.

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will therefore hold the following essential criteria:

  • Holds a business-related qualification at level 5.
  • Previous experience of working within a Personal Assistant/secretarial environment
  • Previous experience of managing staff
  • Experience of collating information, undertaking research and producing reports at a senior level
  • Competent user of MS Office Applications
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to travel to other locations to attend strategic meetings.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
