Salary: Band G (£42,783 - £47,058)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 9 months, with the view to extend to 12

An opportunity has arisen to join the Regional Procurement unit, working for and on behalf of the forces within Yorkshire and Humberside. Working across four key locations with a £250 million third party turnover.

Role Purpose:

Develop and manage commercial category strategies for a portfolio of spend to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the Forces served.

Provide professional advice on technical commercial matters to a portfolio of senior customers to ensure that the Forces’ capital and revenue budgets are spent in accordance with budget strategies and comply with Financial Regulations, Contract Standing Orders and Procurement legislation in order to protect the Forces from financial and reputational risk.

Eligibility:

A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
