The role is that of a Project Officer situated within the Community Safety Department at Hellaby, Rotherham.  The Project Officer will have responsibility for the delivery of Force-wide strategic projects that support South Yorkshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner priorities, some of which involve working collaboratively with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and other key stakeholders.

The post holder must be confident interacting with small and large audiences as the successful candidate is expected to develop scenario based engagement and intervention activity to be delivered to children, young people and adults from diverse backgrounds.

The post holder must also be flexible and able to travel throughout South Yorkshire to attend meetings and to deliver bespoke interventions. 

The role also involves some weekend and evening working with some responsibility for managing events at the Lifewise Centre.
