The successful candidate will be responsible for Witness Care to assure delivery of the minimum standards of service defined under the Victim Code of Practice principles including:

 

  • To be developed to act as single contact reference with witnesses from point of charge to case conclusion
  • determining and maintaining the up to date status of all witness availability and providing to court and CPS
  • conducting a witness needs assessment for victim/witnesses to determine and personally address any identified issues
  • obtaining and documenting contact with all witnesses, acknowledgment of attendance, ensuring that any needs are met, to legislative compliance and assuring effective case progression
  • alerting witnesses to requirements for court hearing attendance and to outcome
  • finalising cases
  • attend and complete learning and assignments associated with the apprenticeship qualification

 

Liaison with internal/external/specialist agencies at a variety of levels.

 

Interrogate, maintain and retrieve data/information using various computer and manual recording packages, accurately contributing to monitoring activities for own and multi-agency partnership purposes

 

Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
