We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Change and Innovation Team here at South Yorkshire Police as a Benefits Realisation Officer.

Role Purpose:

South Yorkshire Police’s Business Change and Innovation Department provides both strategic and operational support to the force to deliver successful and lasting change.

In this role, you will work collaboratively as part of a team, which brings together their different specialisms to design, develop, implement and evaluate a range of change projects and programmes, ultimately supporting the Force to achieve excellence in service delivery.

As Benefits Realisation Officer you will be a key player on the team. By identifying, baselining and evaluating benefits, you will provide the Force with the evidence it needs to understand whether the changes we have made are delivering the benefits we wanted to achieve.

You will have a crucial role working with stakeholders. You will support senior stakeholders through the benefits realisation process and ensure wider stakeholders experience as much improvement as possible from the changes we make.

Providing support to different departments and services in the Force as the Department does, means you can expect to  enjoy a real variety in your work and the opportunity to work with staff and officers from the across the organisation, as well as our partners.

Skills and experience:

Essential Criteria for the role:

  • Knowledge and experience of project planning and methodologies including PRINCE2
  • Knowledge and experience of strategy and planning
  • Previous experience in a project management environment with an understanding of benefits management.
  • Previous experience of the development and implementation of management information by the use of cost benefit analysis methods.
  • Experience of working, communicating and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders at a Senior level
  • Educated to Degree Level in an appropriate subject matter area or equivalent

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.  A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
