Role Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to maintain accurate classification of crime and incidents by focussed live checking and to assist with the audit programme.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will undertake the role of assisting District and Department staff with the interpretation and correct application of the Home Office Counting Rules, NCRS and NSIR, including any amendments to the above.

The post holder will assist the Auditors with the transactional administrative duties in order to enable the completion of audits in accordance with agreed procedures and within specified timescales.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in an administration capacity
  • Working knowledge of data processing and associated administration
  • Confident in the use of Information Technology and capable of adapting to using a variety of differing data systems

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years has been identified for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
