An opportunity has arisen to join the Regional Procurement unit, working for and on behalf of the forces within Yorkshire and Humberside. Working across four key locations with a £250 million pound third party turnover, which continues to grow.

We are seeking to fill multiple roles, which are a combination of current and potential future vacancies, at various levels to drive the procurement strategy and function. These roles provide an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to utilise their commercial knowledge and expertise to policing. We are looking for individuals with solid procurement experience within public sector, so familiar with OJEU.

We want individuals that can make a difference and that can make a role their own. We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals that are interested in driving forward the procurement strategy for policing across the four forces within Yorkshire and Humberside.

Initially we are looking for suitable candidates for the roles of Head of Regional Procurement and Strategic Category Manager, with potential interviews taking place week commencing 17 August 2020 at Force HQ, Carbrook House, Sheffield.

  • Head of Regional Procurement – Salary £62,679-£70,026
  • Strategic Category Manager – Salary £46,947 – £52,335

  • Category Manager – Salary £35,481-£39,669
  • Category Officer – Salary £25,380-£34,617

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
