The successful candidate will retrieve intelligence from a variety of sources for serious case reviews and domestic violence reviews. Analyse and present the information in a suitable format.  Research and prepare documentation covering all aspects of the unit’s remit and collate statistics for all areas of the office for external and internal use.

 

The ideal applicant will also support MARAC by collecting, preparing and disseminating information to all agencies. Participate in MARAC meetings; take minutes and actions from meetings as necessary.  Advise the Force and members of partner agencies on aspects of MARAC procedure and information sharing, both face to face and over the telephone.

 

The successful candidate will also attend meetings internally and externally in consultation with HQ PPU manager to represent HQ PPU and take minutes when necessary.  Maintain stationery and equipment stocks.  Provide administrative and clerical support to the Public Protection Unit.  Organise meeting and conference venues ensuring adequate facilities and catering are in place.   Collect information and consult with police staff and partner agencies to assist in the writing and re-writing of Force Policies.   Provide cover for domestic abuse risk assessing.  Assist in carrying out relevant PVP Audits when required.
