Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced leadership development professional to join us on our exciting journey to create, develop and deliver our brand new Leadership Academy.  You will be required to work with stakeholders across the organisation to identify development opportunities and to develop solutions that will address specific organisational need, alongside the delivery of a curriculum of scheduled programmes.

OD practitioners work with people to design and deliver complex, extensive learning and development (L&D) programmes, and organisational development interventions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals and individuals to fulfil their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Use an evidence-based approach and work with OD advisors to identify development needs and the most appropriate intervention to address these.

·       Research, design, develop and deliver development interventions, identifying and incorporating methodologies that are capable of meeting individual and organisational development needs with available resources and within specified timescales.

·       Research, design, develop and maintain learning/ support materials and resources that enhance the development and maximise learner engagement and participation.

·       Deliver interventions using a wide range of behavioural change/ learning methodologies ensuring learners are engaged, motivated, facilitated, coached and supported to achieve the intended outcomes.

·       Deliver coaching and facilitation to teams across the business, improving team performance by impacting on behaviour and culture.

·       Act as a coach and mentor to learners and colleagues, sharing own specialist knowledge and supporting the CPD of others.

·       When delivering interventions, foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and effective learning environment and determine appropriate assessment strategies to evaluate effectiveness of the intervention.

·       Analyse evaluation results and, utilise assessment analysis and stakeholder feedback to inform the development and continuous improvement of development interventions.

·       Engage in evidence based research, and keep abreast of advances and best practice in OD and learning and development models and methodologies, incorporating these into OD interventions.

·       Work closely with the OD co-ordinator to develop frameworks for ensuring successful OD interventions are embedded as business as usual.

·       Be a visible role model, consistently demonstrate professional principles and personal integrity and promoting CPD.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.  A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
