An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Regional Procurement unit, working for and on behalf of the forces within Yorkshire and Humberside. Working across four key locations with a £250 million pound third party turnover, which continues to grow.

We are seeking to fill a Systems and Performance Analyst role to support the regional team and to drive the procurement strategy and function forward. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to utilise their commercial analytical skills, knowledge and expertise to policing.

Role Purpose:

Undertake research and analysis of data, reporting key trends and anomalies and produce reports when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively interrogate a wide range of data sources to meet project requirements and make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Identify and develop performance data as required and interpret and present to appropriate audiences.
  • Collect data, analyse and interpret data information.
  • Understanding of all Regional Procurement systems and data sources so data retrieval is quickly obtained.
  • Interpret statistical and management information commensurate with the make up and level of comprehension of the target audience.
  • Present management information in a consistent and timely manner to the department’s Senior Management team and other stakeholders.

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to analyse, monitor and report departmental performance against KPIs in line with agreed benefits tracking methodologies and timescales.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office in particular demonstrated ability to develop complex spreadsheets and present information graphically
  • Experience in research, data mining, data analysis, interpretation of statistics and presenting management information.
  • Experience in the delivery of performance management systems and techniques
  • Proven ability to prepare and present complex reports.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
