Role: IT Programme Support Officer (DAMS) -February 2021

Salary: £26,016 - £29,793 per annum

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Contract Type: Temporary – approximately 12 months

 

The successful candidate will work as part of the IT Project Management Office team to plan, coordinate and support the implementation of request for change, relating to the DAMS (Digital Asset Management) programme of work. You will perform project related tasks and duties as required in relation to this programme.

It is anticipated that the individual taking up this post will have a good understanding of systems policies and procedures, a good overall knowledge of Microsoft Office and the function of an IT Service.

To be considered you will have the ITIL Foundation qualification and ideally, you will have knowledge and experience of project planning and methodologies- Prince II.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively assist in the day-to-day delivery of planning and monitoring in all aspects of the IS work programme to ensure progress is in accordance with the delivery of desired outcomes.

 

  • Undertake IS business administration and carry out tasks in support of the identified IS work-stream as required, such as arranging and participating in meetings, preparing minutes, updating and publishing documentation.

 

  • Undertake IS procurement and financial administrative tasks, including the management of IS contracts

 

  • Work as part of the designated IS team, assisting IS colleagues within and across teams and from external agencies/partners and suppliers.

 

  • Provide specialist business and project support advice and knowledge.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • ITIL Foundation Qualification.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years / 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
