SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE - POLICE CONSTABLES & DETECTIVE CONSTABLES TRANSFEREES

South Yorkshire Police are looking to looking to enhance our capability and reputation by recruiting experience officers. Applications are being sought from both Police Constables & Detective Constables. Detective Constables must be PIP 2 accredited with experience in public protection, proactive crime and reactive crime.

To be eligible to transfer to South Yorkshire Police, you must:

• Be a current serving police officer in a Home Office force
• Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues
• Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application, or able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct from the relevant country.

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to a competency based interview. South Yorkshire Police test officers on the Police Professional Framework (PPF). Those successful at interview will be required to undergo the following checks before appointment:

• Vetting
• Medical
• Drugs
• Fitness
• References
• Misconduct

Applicants that successfully pass all stages of the recruitment process and are offered appointment may be offered a preference on posting location. However, whilst every effort will be made to meet this preference, it should be noted that this cannot always be guaranteed and the organisation will offer posts in line with organisational demand.

Applicants must meet the minimum checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for all individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years has been identified for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.

Closing Date : Midnight, 26th May 2015. Please not that closing dates are not normally extended, other than in exceptional circumstances and an agreement is made with the Senior HR Officer, HR Shared Services and the line manager for the role.
