SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE – TRANSFEREE VACANCIES

South Yorkshire Police is looking to looking to enhance our capability and reputation by recruiting experienced officers.

Applications are being sought from Constables and Sergeants to directly transfer info a number of roles including Detectives, Safeguarding, Neighbourhood Policing, Response & Public Order (PSU).

Detectives must be working towards PIP Level 1 or PIP 2 with experience in public protection, proactive crime and reactive crime.

To be eligible to transfer to South Yorkshire Police, you must:

  • Be a current serving police officer in a Home Office force
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues
  • Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application, or able to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct from the relevant country.
  • Have successfully completed your probationary period with your Force prior to submitting your application

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to a competency based interview. South Yorkshire Police test officers on the Police Professional Framework (PPF).

Those successful at interview will be required to undergo the following checks before appointment:

  • Drugs & Bio-Metrics
  • Fitness
  • References
  • Misconduct

Applicants that successfully pass all stages of the recruitment process and are offered appointment may be offered a preference on posting location. However whilst every effort will be made to meet this preference, it should be noted that this cannot always be guaranteed and the organisation will offer posts in line with organisational demand.
