We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Analyst to work as part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) within the Business Change and Innovation, supporting the South Yorkshire Police change programmes.

PMO has quality assurance, reporting and support responsibilities within the change programmes, which operate in a fast paced and continually moving, deadline driven environment.

As the PMO Analyst, you will work closely with the PMO Manager and the Programme Manager to develop a suite of measures that allow us to effectively report on the performance of the various change programmes. This role will collect, validate, analyse and report on programme Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to both the departmental management team and other senior stakeholders.

The PMO Analyst will also work to support the Innovation & Collaboration Manager in delivering the Force’s Collaboration Review Programme. This vital review programme provides assurances to the Senior Command Team around the performance, strategic alignment and governance arrangements for the Force’s extensive collaboration portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively analyse a wide range of data sources to meet project requirements and make recommendations to improve processes.
    • Provide dashboard reporting covering a number of areas including; the status of programme deliverables and milestones, programme level risks and issues, dependencies, savings targets and cost management.
    • Working with senior stakeholders, subject matter expects and the Innovation & Collaboration Manager to conduct assurance reviews across the forces extensive collaboration portfolio.
    • Working with the Benefits Realisation Manager to develop a range of measures to report on the Benefits realised from the reviews completed by Business Change and Innovation.
    • Deal with queries from external customers such as Home Office, External forces, ACPO, members of staff and internal customers or redirect as appropriate.

 

Skills and experience:

  • Advanced experience of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • A high level aptitude of IT or performance management software
  • Educated to Degree Level with a statistical element or relevant experience
  • Experience of presenting data and findings to a varied audience with an openness to being challenged by senior officers

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity.  A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
