We are seeking a Legal Practice Manager to support the Force Solicitor in the provision of a comprehensive legal service to the Chief Constable.  This is a crucial role within the collaborative function of Legal Services for South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police.   

 

This role will provide support across both sites of Legal Services and the successful candidate will need to split their time across the collaborative function working in South Yorkshire approximately 3 days a week and in Humberside for approximately 2 days a week flexibly, dependant on business requirements.

 

You will be responsible for managing and controlling the case management system and the administrative function for the collaborative Legal Services function across both South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police.

 

As Legal Practice Manager your key tasks will be:

 

  • Supporting the head of legal services and the senior leadership team
  • The develop, implement and gain accreditation for a legal services quality management system
  • Establishing and co-ordinate a robust performance management system
  • Monitoring budget spend
  • Day to day management of the administrative function
