Role Purpose:

To provide support to the officers within the Protection of Vulnerable Persons (PVP) Strategic Governance Unit.

Details of role:

Working within a small team the successful applicant will provide support to the Case Review and Policy Officers, MARAC coordinator and the Strategic Governance Detective Sergeants and Inspectors.

They will possess the ability to carry out research utilising South Yorkshire Police systems, including crime/incidents reporting and staff performance systems, interpreting data to produce timely reports. IT proficiency is essential and candidates should possess a competent understanding of Excel. They will be capable of carrying out research both within and outside of the organisation to identify opportunities to improve current practices and identify new ways of working.

Liaising with Police Officers and staff as well as partner agencies excellent communication skills are essential.
