We are a regional procurement unit supporting the four Police Forces and Police and Crime Commissioners in the Yorkshire and the Humber region and have an office base within each of the four Force areas.

We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced Senior Category Manager to join our regional team who has achieved the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Level 6 Graduate Diploma (see Person Specification). The successful candidate will be a well-established, experienced professional with a full understanding of public sector procurement with the ability to manage complex collaborative procurement exercises; manage a wide stakeholder group and have a track record of delivering savings and other efficiencies.

This particular post will be a fixed term two year temporary contract and is required specifically to support West Yorkshire Police with their procurement requirements. The successful candidate will be based in our office in Wakefield, and will be required to travel, on occasion, to meetings with the wider team across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
