Details of Role

South Yorkshire Police are in the process of rolling out Body Worn Video and this fixed term position has been created to assist in the deployment of kiosks and cameras across the SYP estate. The successful candidate will also assist with auditing and basic fault finding on the BWV equipment. The role will be based from Nunnery Square but expected to travel all around SYP as required. When not on BWV duties the successful candidate will assist the Desktop Team in working on second line fault resolution.

Role Purpose:

The post holder will work as part of a team to analyse, plan and rollout the implementation of Body Worn Video across South Yorkshire Police. The post holder will also assist in general second line work when not engaged on BWV tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be actively involved in the planning, implementation, delivery and maintenance of BWV and all client-based equipment across SYP.
  • Installs and implements new hardware and software in line with the Desktop Strategy.
  • Provides second line support to South Yorkshire and Humberside user communities ensuring all SLA’s are adhered to whilst maintaining a customer focused approach to IT Service Management problems, issues and requests.
  • Liaise with IS technical staff and projects and provide advice and assistance without the sphere of expertise.

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of enterprise IT systems.
  • Proven previous experience of working in an IT Support environment.
  • Current UK Driving Licence.

Eligibility:
