An exciting litigation opportunity has presented itself for a civil Litigation Solicitor within the Humberside Police Legal team.  Humberside Police are looking for a suitably qualified solicitor who has a detailed knowledge of civil law and practice.

You will work as part of a team providing a comprehensive range of legal advice and representation to the Chief Constable but in the main you will deal with civil claims for Malfeasance and Personal Injury.

Accordingly you must demonstrate strong civil litigation skills, experience of handling both pre and post issue fast track and multi-track claims and have the necessary flexibility to offer support in the handling of employment claims, public inquiries/inquests, judicial review claims and contracts; past experience of dealing with these supplementary areas would be an advantage.  We are seeking applicants with 2 years post qualification experience.

Due to the collaboration of the legal departments between South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police, the successful candidate will be required to travel between the 2 Force areas, Priory Road, Hull, Humberside and Carbrook Force HQ, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, as and when the need arises. Flexibility to travel between the sites, as required, is essential.

The closing date is Thursday 25th January 2018.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 8th February 2018.
