An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in house within the Humberside Police Legal team.  Humberside Police are looking for a suitably qualified solicitor who has particular experience of Employment Law.

You will work as part of a team providing a comprehensive range of legal advice and representation to the Chief Constable but in the main you will deal with contentious and non contentious matters across the full spectrum of employment law.  You will also have the opportunity to become involved in other areas within the legal department.

To be successful in this role you must have in-depth employment law experience, experience of dealing with Employment Tribunal Claims is essential and we are seeking applicants with 2 years post qualification experience.

Strong advocacy skills and past experience in dealing with civil claims and judicial reviews would be an advantage to applicants.  The role will require flexibility to provide assistance in these areas of law.

Due to the collaboration of the legal departments between South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police, the successful candidate will be required to travel between the 2 Force areas, Priory Road, Hull, Humberside and Carbrook Force HQ, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, as and when the need arises. Flexibility to travel between the sites, as required, is essential.
