We cover a very diverse area that stretches from as far north as Bridlington, across to the Isle of Axholme and down to the outskirts of Grimsby where it changes to Lincolnshire Police.

Humberside Police offer a relocation/removal expenses of up to a maximum £8000 to transferring officers who live outside the Force area and at least 50 miles from their permanent place of work


We are currently seeking applications from existing Police Constables/Detective Constables to join our Crime Support Team, within the Serious and Organised Crime Unit.


The successful candidates will undertake surveillance activities, on a daily basis, using the appropriate surveillance knowledge, techniques and equipment, in support of Police operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise intelligence/evidence gathering opportunities in all work undertaken and adhere to high investigative standards.
  • Provides advice and guidance with regard to Surveillance and other selected covert Policing tactics.
  • Provide the capability of advanced motorcyclist for level 1 surveillance in all operations conducted by or for Humberside Police or any mutual aid.

 

Skills and experience required from applicants for this role:

  • Be a current serving police officer in a Home Office Force (Officers from British Transport Police, Police Service Northern Ireland, Police of Scotland & Ministry of Defence are assessed on a case by case basis)
  • Have successfully completed your probationary period with your Force prior to submitting your application
  • Possess an awareness of a broad range of legal and procedural knowledge, which is operationally relevant
  • Hold a current, full driving licence for both, Motor Cycles and Cars
  • Be Level 1 Surveillance trained
  • Possess an understanding of relevant criminal law, especially PACE
  • to be pro-active in the areas of traffic enforcement and traffic intelligence.
