Police Officer Recruitment Update – February 2016
Police Officer Applicants - Notice of Recruitment
Humberside Police is pleased to announce that we will be shortly launching a Police Officer recruitment campaign. It has been several years since we have advertised externally for Police Officers as a result of the national programme of costs savings imposed on the Public Sector.
Due to a combination of successfully delivering our local cost saving programme and the national decision to protect police budgets in the last Government Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR). This change in circumstances has enabled the Chief Constable and Police & Crime Commissioner to secure future investment in the front line and commence a significant step up in police recruitment.
The purpose of this communication is to alert prospective applicants that the formal recruitment process will be open for initial registration on Tuesday 1st March at 09.30 am and close on Thursday 3rd March at 23.59 pm.
It is important to note that no one will be able to apply to the Force outside of this period and, therefore, we ask prospective applicants not to contact the Force prior to the 1st March.
When recruitment does open again, we will be particularly interested in receiving applications from groups that are under represented in the Police Service. As part of our positive action initiative, familiarisation events will be arranged for under represented groups. Please keep checking this page for further updates.
