HUMBERSIDE POLICE – TRANSFEREES – PROTECTING VULNERABLE PEOPLE (PVP)

CONSTABLE & SERGEANT

Humberside Police have exciting opportunities available for experienced Police Officers to join a forward thinking, modern Police Force who provide a wide range of career opportunities and career development.

We aim to attract Constables and Sergeants to directly transfer into PVP (Protecting Vulnerable People).

Detectives must be PIP 2 accredited with experience in public protection, proactive crime and reactive crime.

CONSTABLE VACANCIES

As a  Detective Constable in the Protecting Vulnerable People Unit (PVP) you will provide a response to calls for service in order to prevent or detect offences, preserve life, keep the peace and enhance the quality of life of the community.

You will work as part of the PVP team involved in the investigation and detection of crime ensuring that harm is prevented and ensure that the welfare of vulnerable people is a paramount consideration at all times.

You will conduct investigations, where appropriate with other agencies, within the terms of reference of the PVP, ensuring that the investigation is conducted to a high standard and that the welfare of the vulnerable person is safeguarded and promoted.

SERGEANT VACANCIES

As a Police Sergeant in the Protecting Vulnerable People Unit (PVP) you will supervise and manage all roles in a team of officers involved in the investigation and detection of serious criminal offences, ensuring that all investigations consider the prevention and management of risk to vulnerable people.

To be eligible to transfer to Humberside Police, you must:

  • Be a current serving police officer in a Home Office force
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues
  • Have resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application.
  • Have successfully completed your probationary period with your Force prior to submitting your application

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to a competency based interview.  Humberside Police test officers on the Police Professional Framework (PPF).
