HP – FORCE CRIME AND INCIDENT REGISTRAR

TERM - PERMANENT
HOURS – 37 HOURS
SCALE – MP7/MP6 £33,108 - £40,926 (CAREER GRADED)
The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that the Force achieves consistent and accurate recording of crime and incidents in line with National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS), the Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) and the National Standard for Incident Recording (NSIR).
The ideal candidate will have experience of writing both strategic and tactical policy, and or, procedural documents and will have the ability to produce well-structured reports and briefings. You will also be expected to undertake crime and incident audits in conjunction with HMIC, ensuring Chief Officers / PCC receive regular, detailed and concise progress updates.
The successful candidate will manage the activities of staff within the section, remote and on site, to ensure deadlines are met, offering guidance and support to ensure accuracy and will undertake Performance
Development Reviews and assesses training needs in relation to the development of staff, manages staff in line with Force policies.
