An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Information Systems Training team within the Learning & Development Department.

As part of the wider Learning & Development department, the post-holder within the Information Systems training team will research, design, develop, deliver and evaluate training as well as other development initiatives, such as one-to-one coaching and ad hoc small group tutorials, in line with the current requirements of the organisation, departments, teams and individuals. 

In addition to dealing with business as usual training and development, the Information Systems training team is working closely with our customers, such as project leads within Information Systems Shared Services, to understand and implement the vast array of learning and development needs crucial in helping the organisation move towards new ways of working.

It is key to the success of the role that the post-holder is able to proactively build effective working relationships with colleagues in the wider organisation, to gain a better understanding of learning needs.

The post-holder will need to be highly motivated, hard-working and innovative in helping the Information Systems training team to be able to deliver the demands of training our organisation members on the multitude of new technology solutions that will be implemented over the course of the coming years.  This is an exciting time to be part of a training team that will help to transform the way in which our organisation operates.

There is the requirement of occasional evening and weekend working, as well as working across different locations within and outside of the force area, as requirements necessitate.

We have 1 permanent and 2 secondment/ fixed term (2yr) contracts available.
