Two fixed term opportunities have arisen within HR Services for the position of Training Support Clerk. The post holder will work to maximise the number of students registered on courses, and ensure resources such as classrooms and equipment are used effectively. They will create courses and record attendance using ORACLE/ORIGINS. They will produce course packs and timetables, maintain paper-based files, provide secretarial support to the head of Learning and Development, and cover as Receptionist/Clerk when required.

The post holder will provide clerical support for a variety of internal and external training events. This will involve planning and coordinating examinations set by national boards at a range of locations, and ensuring they are conducted in line with agreed examination protocols. They will also be required to invigilate during examinations when needed.

The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to work on their own initiative. They must have had previous clerical experience and be computer literate, with a current working knowledge of Microsoft packages. They must also have had experience of using ORACLE/ORIGINS to extract organisational/ management data.
