As an Intelligence Investigator for the Anti-Corruption Unit, you will be responsible for the collection, evaluation, analysis & development of intelligence in relation to corrupt or criminal behaviour and serious misconduct which is likely to affect the integrity of Humberside Police. The successful candidate will adopt measures and systems of prevention and to investigate suitable cases, ensuring the best possible evidence is secured and that all cases are fully and efficiently investigated to the highest of standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the best use is made of developments in technology and information/intelligence systems to be the best position to support the Units activities.
  • Ensuring that risks to the Force/Command which may affect its ability to provide business as usual now or in the future are identified and escalated to their line manager or local Risk Champion at the earliest opportunity.
  • Assists in the collection, evaluation, and development of intelligence, in relation to corrupt or criminal behaviour and serious misconduct which is likely to affect the integrity of Humberside Police.
  • Undertakes all aspects of overt and covert investigations in relation to corruption, criminality, or serious misconduct.
  • Liaises with operational divisions and the FIB as well as outside agencies at the appropriate level to assist investigations and in appropriate circumstances support other Forces/Agencies in anti-corruption investigations.

  • Willing to undertake all training requirements relevant to the role.

  • Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
  • Educated to a Level 5 standard or equivalent and/or has the equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.

Pre – Employment Checks and Eligibility:
