We are recruiting for a PVP Support Officer within the Vulnerability HUB within our Protective Vulnerable Persons Unit (PVP).

 As a PVP Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Vulnerability Hub such as monitoring Case Conference invites from Child Protection & Planning, including entering diary dates, notifying supervision, flagging invites in the SPOC box, updating files, and issuing reports.

 You will also be responsible for undertaking urgent and critical research, assisting in the analysis and distribution of intelligence, and collating and summarising the information in either written or verbal format for the attention of the appropriate officer. You will review intelligence records/data bases when necessary, ensuring they are always compliant with the relevant legislation.

 The successful candidate will also be required to liaise with partner agencies such as Social Services, to ensure that accurate information is obtained, and prepare and produce statistical data for both internal and external partners, so being able to communicate effectively with people at all levels is key!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The accurate input and interrogation of data which allows interrogation to be done in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining good communications and relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ensuring that risks to the Force/Command which may affect its ability to provide business as usual now or in the future are identified and escalated to their line manager or local Risk Champion at the earliest opportunity.
  • Conducts research, assists in the analysis, development, preparation and distribution of information and intelligence requiring a degree of interpretation and initiative, collating and summarising the information in either verbal or written format for the attention of the appropriate officer.

What the role requires:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business Admin field.
  • Knowledge of Case Conference processes
  • Substantive clerical experience
  • Experience of working within a secure/confidential environment
  • Analytical skills - able to write well-reasoned reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use own initiative to make decisions.
