SOLICITOR – CIVIL LITIGATION

SALARY - £43,779 - £44,787

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the collaborative Legal Services Department of South Yorkshire and Humberside Police.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified solicitor/barrister or FILEX to provide legal advice and representation to the Chief Constable in civil claims involving South Yorkshire Police and Humberside Police.

You will work as part of a talented team, providing a comprehensive range of legal advice and representation to the Chief Constable. The primary focus of this role is to assist the Force Solicitor in the management and conduct of civil claims for malfeasance and Personal Injury and other civil proceedings concerning the Chief Constable.

Accordingly, you must demonstrate strong civil litigation skills and have the necessary flexibility to offer support in the handling of other aspects of policing.

The role will be across both Forces at each Force Headquarters, at Carbrook, Sheffield and Priory Road, Hull.
