Hours:  10 Per week (Part Time, Working Thursday & Friday between 10:00 – 15:30 Office based)

Contract: Permanent

As a Case Worker for Conviction Services, you will undertake a varied range of duties within the force conviction service including inputting and updating court results, cautions, reprimands, and warnings onto the PNC. The successful candidate will also monitor in force, magistrates, and crown court IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Creates, updates and maintains criminal records on the Police National Computer, including Magistrates and complex Crown Court Results, Police, Magistrates and Crown Court Bail Conditions, Simple Cautions, Conditional Cautions and Youth Cautions.
  • To use appropriate Information Technology systems and prioritise workloads to meet national deadlines, ensuring compliance with national Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
  • Responds to enquiries from Magistrates and Crown Court staff, Police Officers, Police Staff and external Forces, interrogating computer files as required, progressing both simple and complex non routine queries relating to discrepancies.
  • Undertakes quality assurance of electronic Documents, recording errors accordingly for statistical purposes and management reports.
  • Ensures that risks to the Force/Command are identified and escalated to the line manager or local Risk Champion at the earliest opportunity.
  • Monitors and audits impending prosecutions on receipt of PNC Daily Activity File (DAF) Prints, requesting files as appropriate, progressing outstanding results and liaising with the relevant teams when necessary.
  • Responds to queries relating to Fingerprints and DNA linked to Arrest Summons Numbers.
