An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warrants Officer, to work within Local Policing, based in Grimsby. What makes this role exciting is that every day is different, as they deal with many varieties of people, in different situations.


Role Purpose:

The overall purpose of the role is to provide an effective and efficient service to the Force, in order to ensure the safe detention of wanted persons.

In order for the Team to operate, we need an individual who will be a team player, as Warrant Officers work in pairs.

It is also expected they assist the full team or even on other Police Operations that are Warrant based.

As an authorised Civilian Enforcement Officer, you will undertake the execution of Fail to Appear Warrants and serves Summons within the Force.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts risk assessments in relation to carrying out the execution of Fail to Appear Warrants.
  • Receives intelligence/information from members of the public and external agencies and actively responds when necessary ensuring relevant protocols are adhered to.
  • The arrest of all persons wanted on Fail to Appear Warrants.
  • Attending regular officer safety training, in order to be made aware of the use of handcuff and restraint techniques.
  • This is not an ordinary administration role you will be required to work outside in various weather conditions and will be expected to be very pro-active

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with courts/CPS/Criminal Justice
  • Good oral and written communication skills in order to deal with internal and external matters.
  • Current full driving licence and will be expected to pass a Police Driving Test.
  • Literate and Numerate
