Exciting opportunities have arisen, within Special Branch, for dedicated Police Constables or Detective Constables to join the CT Border Policing Team

The successful candidates will assist the Chief Constable in the discharge of his responsibility for Preservation of the Queens Peace.

The Role

You will assist the Security Service in its task of defending the United Kingdom against terrorism, espionage, sabotage subversion and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

You will gather information on non-political groups, such as those involved in unlawful activity and work closely with members of the National Crime Agency, UK Border Force and other outside organisations, in operations concerning serious and organised crime.

The successful applicant will:

  • Must be the Rank Police Constable or Detective Constable
  • Be skilful in the use of questioning and listening a range of situations
  • Be aware of National, Social and Political issues, which surround the Policing world
  • Be able to work without supervision, with a high degree of self-motivation
