The Force Control Room is critical in providing a timely response to people, who report incidents and crimes, and our Supervisors help set, and maintain, the pace of that service delivery and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Command Hub Sergeant to join this busy team.

The successful role holder will supervise a professional multifunctional communication service to the public, partners and members of the Police Service, ensuring that customers receive a courteous, helpful and informative service.

The Role

You will work within the Command Hub, primarily responsible for the effective supervision of the Demand Resolution Team; ensuring customers receive a timely, professional service at all times

The successful applicant will have knowledge/experience of the following areas:

  • A substantive Sergeant, or in the promotion pool.       
  • Knowledge of the key principles and processes of contact management, investigation and Command and Control
  • Knowledge of Home Office counting rules, the National Standards for Incident Recording and National Crime Recording Stan
  • Knowledge of the National Decision Making Model and THRIVE Model.
  • Forensic awareness Knowledge of the Force complaints procedures and codes relating to misconduct. Knowledge of the Force area
  • Awareness of the Data Protection Act.

In addition, the successful applicant will also have additional training opportunities around call handling management and pursuit management.
