The force is currently recruiting internally and externally for Police Officers, Special Constables, PSCO’s and Police Staff and there is a need to develop further links within the community to enhance both forces BME and minority recruitment.


The role of the HR Officer will be:

  • Identify and assist external applicants or current employees from a minority group and support them to access facilities for training which would assist their prospect of selection and/or development within the Force
  • Encourage persons from minority groups to take advantage of opportunities for employment and career development within Humberside Police
  • Assist in promoting and managing Force issues connected with diversity
  • Promote confidence of minority groups and liaise effectively with external agencies, community groups and individuals

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of a range of HR matters, being able to work on their own initiative and possessing an excellent attention to detail. They will possess good communication skills in order to liaise with internal and external staff and agencies and have flexibility to attend events outside of office core hours in the instance of community events as part of the remit of this role and the ability to travel within the Force boundary and occasionally out of Force area.


It is essential that applicants hold a clean driving license.
