Applications are invited from substantive Police Constables and Detective Constables who have completed their probationary period by the closing date of this advert.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terror Policing.
In this role, you will undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence to assist an investigation or operation.
To be considered eligible for this role you will already hold current Level One Surveillance accreditation or be a previous holder of Level One Surveillance accreditation who has an ability to successfully complete an additional Level One Surveillance Course. You will also be a current Advanced Car Driver or be a previous advanced driver who has an ability to successfully regain the qualification after additional training.
To be part of the CTP NE Surveillance Team there is an expectation that you are willing to work regionally and nationally for extended periods of time, as well as undertaking long and unsocial working hours often with changes being made at short notice, and some working away from home/overnight stays.

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a transfer or secondment to the Regional Forces. If you apply for the secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to Enhanced and Developed level personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment. You must be a British citizen and eligible to hold a British passport to work in the CTP NE.
