HP – PNC/ANPR OPERATOR

HOURS – 37 (FULL TIME)

SCALE & PAY – SCALE 3/4 (£18,486-£22,275) PLUS 20% SHIFT ALLOWANCE & WEEKEND WORKING

As a PNC/ANPR Operator within the Hub, you will provide day to day advice and support to the force in relation to PNC/ANPR matters, including the interrogation of PNC and other force systems.

 

Main Tasks:

  • Performs enquiries, maintains and creates records, performs updates and cancellations as necessary on the Police National Computer, ANPR database and other force or court systems. Operates all other national and force computer systems held within the PNC Bureau including VISOR. Ensures Intelligence data is input onto the ANPR database accurately and accordingly to local and national policy.

 

  • Interrogates and researches data as necessary on the Police National Database (PND) and interrogates and updates Force systems e.g. Connect/Command and Control. Acts as the Force out of hours SPOC for PND.

 

  • Provide SPOC cover, including out of hours, for checks on relevant databases including Firearms (NFLMS), Intelligence enquiries and Interpol (I24X7), Prisons (PINS), Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) and Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (CSODS).

 

  • Acts as SPOC for Warrants enquiries out of hours, liaising with officers and other forces as necessary.

 

  • Receives and transmits signals via the CX3000 and Airwave radio systems in connection with requests for information. Receives and initiates telephone calls in connection with requests for information and liaises with other agencies and forces.

  • Provides operational assistance with ANPR deployments, loading, inputting and updating intelligence onto vehicle databases, supporting correct and effective use of mobile ANPR.

  • Creates C&C logs and carries out basic research/analysis using ANPR and other force systems. Monitors ANPR Hotlists and passes observations via radio to resources re vehicle activations

 

Applicants will have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Experience of basic office clerical/administration work.

 

  • Experience of undertaking basic research.

 

  • Experience of using databases and inputting data from computerised or manual systems.

 

  • Excellent communication skills in order to relay clear, concise instructions to callers and colleagues.

 

  • Ability to work as part of a team, and be able to work a flexible shift pattern, being receptive to change.
