West Yorkshire Police, the lead Force for the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services, is looking to recruit a Crime Scene Surveyor to be based at Calder Park, Wakefield.

In this role, you will provide a crime scene surveyor and plan-drawing service to meet the investigative requirements of all four Forces within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

This opportunity would suit those with a degree qualification in cartography or surveying, or equivalent, together with experience of various survey disciplines and GPS. Ideally, applicants will also have knowledge of Ordnance Survey mapping as well as an in-depth knowledge gained from working in an AutoCAD environment.

To be considered, applicants must be competent in two or more of the following surveying methods:
• 3D Laser Scanning and Total Station.
• Measured building surveying - producing plans, sections and elevations in AutoCad.
• 3D representations using 3D scan data and 3D modelling software.

To ensure efficient crime scene surveying processes, the role requires a flexible approach to working hours. In addition, you must hold a full current UK/European driving licence and be prepared to travel for business purposes.
