Roads Policing Constable - Humberside

 

Location:  Melton and Humberside Force area

 

Hours: 40

 

The role applied for is that of a Roads Policing / Traffic Constable.  Successful applicants will be required to undergo a range of roads policing specialist training including abnormal loads, TPAC, speed detection ANPR, Hazchem, Traffic Law etc. and they will also be required when suitably experienced to take on more advanced responsibilities e.g. family liaison.  The main roles and responsibilities of a Roads Policing Constable are:

  • Attending, investigating and managing serious and fatal roads traffic collisions
  • Traffic enforcement
  • Engagement in national and local casualty reduction campaigns e.g. Christmas Drink Drive campaign, Mobile Phone campaign
  • Denying criminals use of the road by proactive policing methods involving ANPR and other intelligence sources
  • Liaison and working closely with external partners e.g. NRPIF and DVSA
