Applications are invited from Police Constables and Detective Constables for 1 immediate vacancy and the creation of a succession plan.  You must have completed your probationary period by the closing date of this advert.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a unique team, supporting the work of Counter Terrorism Policing.

You will be required to undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence to assist an investigation or operation.

The successful candidate will be the holder of a current Level One Surveillance accreditation or previous holder with the ability to successfully complete a further course.

Additionally, a current Advanced Car Driver or previous advanced driver who has an ability to successfully regain the qualification after additional training.

Officers must have knowledge of relevant legislation, including RIPA and associated authorities.

Officers will successfully maintain eyesight and hearing levels to a required standard and have no noticeable striking physical features.

You must be willing to undertake long and unsocial working hours, often with changes being made at short notice. This includes some working away from home/overnight stays. In addition, you must have the ability to work Regionally and Nationally for extended periods of time and have a full UK/European Driving licence.

In the interests of security you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family. 

This will be a posting for West Yorkshire Police officers and a secondment to the Regional Forces. As this is a secondment you will require permission from your current Force in order to be eligible to apply.
